Meet Jessica

Hi, I’m Jess. I run JNC Virtual Assistant out of California’s Central Valley.

JNC actually started because I was running on empty at my in-person teaching job. I was putting in way too many hours for a paycheck that didn’t match the effort, and most days I’d come home so wiped that I had nothing left for my boyfriend or my dogs. Then I’d sit back down to grade and plan lessons for a few more hours.

About a year ago, I launched JNC as a way to build something on the side that I actually had some say over. Since then, things have shifted. I left my in-person teaching job and joined an independent online charter school as a virtual teacher, which I genuinely love. The mountain of paperwork? Possibly my favorite part.

So JNC isn’t replacing teaching anymore. It’s the work I do alongside it, with a small handful of clients I really care about. Here’s the part I don’t usually say out loud: I love spreadsheets. I love typing. I love opening a messy Google Drive and turning it into something a person can actually use. I love filling out forms, getting files organized, and helping someone check the last thing off their list. The kind of work most people groan at? It actually relaxes me. So, when I take on a client, it’s because this is genuinely the thing I want to be doing.

I named JNC after the people I come home to: J for Jessica, N and C for my two toy poodles (yes, I’m obsessed with them, and yes, they’ll probably come up in our calls). When I’m not working, you can usually find me at Disneyland, somewhere along the California coast, or at home catching up on rest with the dogs.

If we work together, here’s what I can tell you. I take on a small number of clients on purpose, so I can actually be present for each one. I show up consistently, week after week, not just when things feel urgent. And I treat the behind-the-scenes work like it matters, because for the person running the business, it really does. If that sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, I’d love to connect.
